Petroleum storage terminals in the Port of Mobile provide feedstocks for our state and local refineries and manufacturers; provide fuel for cars, trucks, ships, tugboats and offshore service vessels throughout our region; and provide petroleum products for asphalt production to pave local roadways. Close proximity to petroleum storage facilities helps to keep local energy prices in check. The contention that petroleum feedstocks only pass through our Port for other markets is simply untrue.
